Location: Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave. Vancouver, WA 98684 360- 487-7001
Directions: Going North or South on I-205: Take Mill Plain exit (exit 28) and go east 1.2 miles. Turn left on 136th Ave. and go 0.6 miles and the Community Center will be on the left.
The club will open at 8:00 AM on Saturday and be open before 9:00 AM on Sunday.
Lockers and showers are available in the club but you will need your own lock and towel.
We have 107 participants in 18 events. The tournament will be played on 6 courts, so court time is tight. Please make an effort to be ready early, start your matches promptly, and vacate the court quickly when finished with your match so that we can keep things flowing.

Ten members of the Columbia River Pickleball Club traveled south to Albany, Oregon, for the first Rally In the Valley Pickleball Tournament on August 25-26. The group from Albany and Corvallis, headed by Bob VanderLinden, did a fantastic job in hosting this outdoor, skill level event. It was evident that a great amount of planning and work went into making the tournament a great success. Ninety-six players participated the many skill levels and fun was had by all.
Our group came home with 15 medals which included 3 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze.
Enrique Ruiz teamed with Steve Wong to win the 5.0 Men’s Doubles.
Larry Rambousek and Bob Ferguson played hard to win the 3.0 Men’s Doubles.
Lala Climaco and Paul Porch placed second in 4.5 Mixed Doubles.
Enrique Ruiz and Trish Graham were second in a very close 5.0 Mixed Doubles.
Lala Climaco and Emily Williams were second in 4.0 Women’s Doubles.
Kathy Rambousek placed second in a combined 5.0-4.5-4.0 Women’s Singles.
Steve Paranto placed third in 5.0 Men’s Singles.
Mike Wolfe and Paul Porch were third in 4.5 Men’s Doubles.
Steve Paranto and Randy Bither placed third in 5.0 Men’s Doubles.
Larry and Kathy Rambousek were third in 4.0 Mixed Doubles.
Lala Climaco was third in combined 5.0-4.5-4.0 Women’s Singles.
Most importantly all of us who went enjoyed good friendships and met more nice people who enjoy our sport of pickleball.
